Free Photography ?
Tracy photographs literally thousands of events for free. He is an active photography volunteer for CKUA,
the Calgary Jazz Festival,
Edmonton's Story Slam, Alberta's U22 Musicians,
the Blue Chair Cafe,
Edmonton's Drum Festival, and many others.
Tracy occasionally blogs the events he photographs (and sometimes events he didn't photograph) - but he's usually too busy taking pics, editing and posting...
He especially enjoy photographing dance.
Free photos are provided to performers and venue managers with some conditions:
- not all photos are posted - only a subset
- free photos contain the 'tracy' signature, usually in the lower right corner
- free photos are 'web sized'. There is a charge for full size image files.
- use of free photos is conditional on identifying Tracy as the photographer. This can be done by simply leaving his signature 'tracy' in the file. If the signature is removed, text should explain that the photos were taken by Tracy O'Camera (or Tracy Kolenchuk).
Of course if Tracy photographs your event for free, and you want to purchase full size images, there will be a cost. You will find it less expensive to book Tracy if you plan to purchase the images.
